Summary of last month's results: DECEMBER '09

A profit of 40 points rounded off another successful year, and gave us all a little extra in the kitty for Christmas as we wished for. Santa must have thought we had all been good during the year! This month both the back-to-win and the lay-to-lose accounts performed solidly. We suffered a losing run of a few days in the second week, but otherwise there was a steady and positive upward trend throughout the month.

Long term members finished the year more than 500 points ahead, and the average monthly profit was a fraction over 43 points profit each month.

The Back-To-Win account saw 57 qualifying bets, and returned a total of 20 winners for a strike rate of 35%. We bet against 30 horses on the Lay-To-Lose account, and stumbled over 5 winners.

January may be a relatively quiet month, as the cold snap continues across the country. Better to keep our money safe until suitable opportunities arise, than risk our cash for the sake of having a bet. Remember also to stick to the prices advised, as it will improve your profitability in the long run.
