Make Sure You Get My
Daily Message
Increasingly, internet and email service
providers (Hotmail, Yahoo, AOL, ntlWorld, BT Internet, Virgin,
etc.) are using filtering systems to try and keep 'spam'
(unwanted junk email messages) out of customers'
inboxes. Sometimes, though, they accidentally filter the
e-mail that you do want to receive.
Please do not blame your ISP or mail
service. The volume of spam is enormous and the algorithms
to figure out what is spam (and what is not) are
complicated. So mistakes do happen.
We all have to deal, unfortunately, with
the fallout of what spammers do to the Internet.
Naturally, you want to keep spam out. But
at the same time, you want to make sure you receive messages
from people you have chosen to communicate with -- including
me!
Sod's Law will dictate that the day we
land a juicy 20/1 winner is the day your ISP decides to
delete my message. Please do not blame me, as I am a
'virtual member' myself and I do not leave my desk in the
morning until I have personally received the daily message,
to verify the broadcast has been successful.
To make sure that Redd Racing mail is not
deleted or filtered into a "junk" or "bulk" folder, please
add the following domains and email addresses to your list
of trusted senders/your address book/contact list (in your
e-mail software) and to your ISP/mail service's whitelist...
@reddracing.co.uk
@skybluekangaroo.com
maxredd@btinternet.com
Even if you have received previous
messages from me, you should still white-list. Because your
ISP has let one message through, does not necessarily mean
all further messages will receive the same treatment.
This should guarantee that you will
receive whatever e-mails I send, be it from our membership
management system, from my auto-responder, or directly from
me in response to a question.
It's a shame to bother you like this, but
blame it on the spammers. Your ISP or mail service is only
trying to protect you. The bottom line is that things have
become so complicated in the ever-escalating war between
spammers and ISPs/mail services, that you and we are
accidentally caught in their cross-fire.
Thank you for your co-operation.
